MGM Catalog Releases (2011-2013)

Well... sources tell us that among the titles likely for release in high-def in early 2011 are Blue Velvet, Rain Man, Four Weddings and a Funeral and Dead Man Walking. All four titles are already announced for Blu-ray release in France by MGM in February. So it's likely you'll see them follow in the States in the coming months as well.
Only disappointment is, where is the delayed Blood Simple combo pack?

Blu-Ray.com adds Moonstruck to the list on the 15th, announcing Rain Man for that day also. Still no date yet for Blue Velvet, Dead Man Walking or Four Weddings.

Not to be too sour, but I'm holding my excitement for Blue Velvet until there's actually an official announcement.

I'm pretty sure Blood Simple will be released on Blu-ray when the Zhang Yimou remake is released.

It wouldn't be too late for them to announce it. Granted, they aren't usually the kind of studio to announce and then release titles that quickly. However, I would think a retailer exclusive might be in order for Blood Simple. I can't recall any other MGM Blu-ray retail exclusives but this might be a good place for them to start.

Last Tango in Paris? Really? LAST TANGO IN PARIS??? You mean I can finally get rid of my old DVD made from a scratched-up old print? Seriously, this has just made my day, year, and who knows what else...
