Re: TRON: LEGACY DVD/Blu Combo Pack >> 04/2011 (?)
When I'm at my 4th viewing of a movie, I don't think being in the experience 100% of the time matters that much any longer. At that point I can indulge my curiosities, and I wanted to see if the whole movie was shot in 3-D.

After watching that IGN unboxing of the Identity Disc version I cancelled my pre-order for it. I don't like the look of the 5 discs being just stacked inside the disc.
I just ordered both individual releases for the $43.xx deal on Amazon.

LOL, I wonder how many cancellations that IGN video caused. I, too, cancelled my preorder of the identity disc version after watching the IGN video. The five-disc set is good enough for me.

Yikes! That unboxing video made me change my mind too. I'm also getting the two 2-disc sets separately (not interested in the BR3D).

yep. I've definitely changed my mind about getting the horrible disc set. I wasn't thrilled about having to get a digital copy and a 3d copy in that set, but after seeing just how horrible the disc actually is I'm just going to pick up the 2 disc sets as well.

I too cancelled my pre-order of the Identity Disc, just horrible packaging. I'm gonna hold off till I can get both movies for $30, I think they will have a package deal in a month or two.

Apparently I'm too stupid to read or use google. Does anyone have a link to the "IGN review video" everybody is talking about? thx.

^ Yeah. I wasn't that entralled with it in the first place (don't have any room to display it anyway) but that's just cheap. They couldn't even make it so the light stays on for like 10 seconds?

Seriously, are you guys just mad about the fact that the discs are stacked? Seriously? Or is it more than that? Because the former seems ridiculous. I'm not worried about the Blu-Rays scratching, and the DVD can go on the bottom. Big deal. Not to mention, as I mentioned, I have a stackable Disney disc case and it works just fine.

I'm looking at getting the 2-disc BD/DVD combos of each Tron film from Disney Movie Club to complete my last commitment. With free shipping, it's only a $1.00 higher than Amazon.

I'm much more interested in seeing what the other 5 discer looks like.

Yup, getting that five-disc set.
Exactly how I wanted it. No stacking, two separate compartments, and a fine looking set.

I'm not sure what I expected before I saw that video, but afterwards it just didn't feel worth it to me to pay the $25 premium.

I'm getting the two individual releases. I'd rather have 'em both in separate cases. Hoping there's a coupon for them, otherwise I'll just go with Amazon.

Getting the two individual releases for 3 reasons:
-- nice to have a dvd of original (box only had BD)
-- don't need the 3D
-- digital copy isn't worth the extra $7 ($43 for both individually vs $50 for set)
