Looked really damn good. The "live world" scenes seemed a bit too grainy, especially when the "other world" looked so good. But man...Disney was right. The costumes/special effects will make kids laugh.

would you rather that Disney scrub/DNR the film to the point where it looks like 'Patton' (i.e, Fox's visually altering the film to feature no grain) - that's strange that it's "too" grainy, since we've pretty much established to everyone who's read this thread that both the live and grid world were shot in 65mm, grain should be at a minimum.

The Ultimate Tron Experience (5 Disc)- $64.99

Looks like Target is the best deal. Legacy 4-disc and original for $45 - $8 - $5 = $32+ tax.

Damn. The nearest Target is about an hour away, but I may just go ahead and make the drive for that price...

Well I wasn't going to get the original but 19.99 + 19.99 - 5 - 8 = 26.98 + tax is too good to pass up. Only problem is if my Target doesn't get enough in stock (which has happened even on big titles)

Hell yes. I'll be going to Target to get both of these.

I thought the $5 off Disney coupon is only good for the Legacy combo packs. Toy Story 3's coupon was only good for the combo pack, but not the 2-disc set.

All the releases of Tron: Legacy are combo packs. When they say 2-disc it's a blu-ray and a dvd

Re: TRON: LEGACY DVD/Blu Combo Pack >> 04/2011 (?)

The Target scan makes it clear that the $5 coupon is only good towards the 4 and 5-disc sets. You also can't combine them with the $8 off with the original Tron deal.

Nothing as of yet - and our prices on movies are terrible compared to the deals you guys get in the US... with the dollar the way it is, really starting to piss me off.

At least you can save $8 getting both 2-disc sets for $32+ tax. I may just get the 4-disc Legacy with the coupon and wait for the original to get really cheap.

Yep, same here. $15 is a pretty sweet price for the 4-disc.

Dang, if I weren't having a money "thing" at the moment, that's exactly what I'd be getting.

I wonder if Best Buy will have a combo deal - since I have RZ points and all.

I'd be willing to bet that the computer won't enforce the no $5 coupon with the $8 combo savings thing. It's about getting an ignorant cashier, I guess.

Here is a link to my post on another forum about the deals for this release for us Canadians.

I hope no extraneous bilingual text on the Canadian packaging.

Amazon is already giving me an $8 discount for buying both Tron & Tron Legacy

BUT... that's $8 off two $24.99 movies. My fingers are crossed they learn about Target and drop them to $19.99 while keeping the "buy both, save $8" deal

That's just what I was thinking.

So, it really makes NO sense to buy the 5-disc that isn't the Identity Disc set if we're going to shop at Target...

You can get the 4-disc set+Tron for 37 bucks at Target...

Or pay 50 bucks at Amazon for the 5-disc set that includes one less DVD. Not that we'd need the DVD, but hell just to have it. I really had my mind set on getting the 5 disc set, all-in-one, but 37 bucks for everything I wanted is hard to pass up.

It probably will be, they just didn't list it in the ad

I was able to get Amazon to apply both the $5 coupon and the $8 promo to the $50 set.
