White Do not rip me off label on Blu-ray from Amazon.com
I just seen this. I have no idea how long they have been sending these out. I just went to open/watch Shrek forever after and seen it does not have the white do not rip me off label. I went to look at the discs I bought since BF (they all get put under the tree, yup). and they all do not have this. Yet the ones from Target an Wal-mart does (even the same title).
Does anyone else know when they started doing this?

Huh?
You mean the security tape? Its no longer a bit deal as Blu-ray prices have dropped like a rock and since it costs money to put those seals on...they appear to just not be doing it anymore. Why do it if the BD costs $2-3 to produce vs. $10 (they used to).

"I have just seen this, and have no idea how long companies have been sending discs out without the little white piece of tape on top of the cases.
When I picked up the case to open it so I could watch Shrek Forever After I saw that the strip was missing.
After looking at all the dvds/blu-rays I bought since black Friday, which all happen to be under the Christmas tree, I see many are also missing the strip.
The cases I bought at Walmart and Target do have the strip, including titles that I bought at other stores that are missing the strip."

I've been getting these forever like this, and I've bought some from Walmart and Best Buy (maybe target too) even a few times.

I'm not sure, but I believe the first DVD with a security sticker was The Perfect Storm back in 2000. Or maybe that was the first one with multiple stickers; I don't remember.

Some have 'em... some don't. No big deal.

They've been phasing them out since last year- while I'm glad that they're easier to open and don't have to worry about Goo-Gon'ing them from sticker residue, it's been harder to look through stuff like Black Friday displays since there's no title on the top anymore- now I have to flip through them all to make sure a title I want isn't hidden in a stack of 20 copies of something I don't. Used to take less than a second to check a row of discs in a store.
