For the love of god, buy this movie.

After all that hype, how come this film never went anywhere? I believe it must be good, but what a marketing flop...

Plenty of wonderful films don't get wide releases. It's also a low-budget British film with difficult marketability, so I'm grateful it was even distributed here at all.

This film is Sci-Fi? That's news to me. This will definitely be on my 'To Watch' list as Mark Romanek directed it.

How Sci-Fi is this? It only seems like it's a slight angle from the reviews I'm reading.

I will buy it, but no interest in seeing it.

Day one purchase for me. I absolutely loved this film and it's one of the best of the year.

Number one thus far for me, although I have a feeling True Grit may bump it.

Still want to see this.

The trailer looks boring as hell, but knowing what it's actually about has me fully intrigued.

As I posted in the film thread for this, its probably my favorite film of the year so I can't wait to own it.

Sounds intriguing, Amazon doesn't have a release date yet.

The sci-fi aspect of the story is very limited, and was much overplayed by the trailers. The movie is based on a novel by the author of The Remains of the Day, and has much the same basic style and tone as that one.

I hate to be one of those "The book was better" people, but this book was basically impossible to adapt, and I wasn't really thrilled with a couple of the compromises that the director had to make.

I will recommend this movie emphatically, despite never having seen it.

Thank you, that's exactly what I wanted to know. I was hoping for a good mix of Sci-Fi and drama, but this doesn't sound like what I'm looking for.

I am fairly certain, although I am glad and quite surprised that a few people here actually saw and enjoyed this movie as much as I did, that this movie would be hated by 99% of the DVDTalk crowd. I would definitely not recommend this as a blind-buy to anyone.

I'll probably wind up blind buying this myself.

I, on the other hand, would recommend this as a blind buy to just about everyone.

I love this film as well. There is a great interview done on the Creative Screenwriting Magazine podcast that deepened my appreciation even more.
