Sony BR's have built in calibration screens
I'm sure this is old-news for most, however I thought someone would benefit from this being brought up again, as I just learned that any Sony BR disc has built in calibration patterns when you press "7669" (the numerical equivilent of SONY). Exactly what I need to do with those, I really have no idea, but it's a nice little feature, although unlikely enough to replace a dedicated calibration disc in the eyes of most HDaphiles.
Here is a list of Sony BR's.
and I'll even save some of you time inclined to make a snarky comment:

Re: Sony BR's have built in calibration screens
Be warned that the calibration patterns on the first wave of Blu-rays from 2006 are inaccurate. Sony had a problem with the encoder it used at that time. Both blacker-than-black and whiter-than-white are clipped, which essentially makes the patterns useless for calibrating brightness or contrast.
