Brilliant filmmaker Peter Weir (Picnic at Hanging Rock, Master and Commander) returned to directing this year after a 7 year hiatus. The Way Back hasn't even been released theatrically yet, but it's already generating lots of Oscar buzz, and better still, it already has a BD release date!

That's good to hear. Admittedly, I'd like to see Fearless get a Blu release, if only so it can get a release in its OAR...

Wasn't even aware of this. But yeah, looking forward to adding another Weir title to my BD collection.

Debated about pre-ordering this, but with such a high price, I think I'll rent this first.

I might have sprung for it at that price if it was a gold-plated digibook.

I'll wait until it drops a few dollars more...

Here's hoping that Picnic gets a release soon as well...
