Question about Rudolph Blu ray?

I see SONY classic media has released Rudolph on blu ray, before I sink my money into it and get angry I want to know if SONY finally wised up and included both version of the show. 1) the first version aired once with the extended misfit song. 2) the second version aired for the over forty years with the better fame and fortune song.

Why SONY would put out a blu ray with out both version to me is just a criminal waste of blu ray capabilities.

Can anyone verify what is available on the blu ray?

Re: Question about Rudolph Blu ray?

This is being distributed by Classic Media/Vivendi, and - as far as I know - has nothing to do with Sony (or as you put it, SONY).

Huh? I got the Rudolph BD in the box set (along with Frosty/Santa Claus is Comin' to Town) and when I put it in I only saw a play option with no choice of a different version. Or does the special have both songs? I'm a little confused.

In the alternate version is Santa any less of a dick than he is in the original?

Re: Question about Rudolph Blu ray?

The DVD versions had the fame and fortune song as a special feature and just showing the song section. I think they should produce a blu ray with the 1964 and 1965 versions. The '64 version ran only for that year, the '65 version ran for over 40 years on CBS.
