Awesome..love this movie!! Great to see WB finally releasing some of their classics in Bluray such as this and Leone's Once Upon a Time in America.

Nice, I was about to break down and buy the DVD a few months ago but since it's not generally stocked at the local B&M's I didn't get it. Will definitely be a week one pick up.

Was there ever more of a perfect casting choice then Denzel for Malcolm X?

Yeah he was great. Probably his best work.

Warner Bros. has always included all the extras from all their 2-disc dvd sets. I hope this blu-ray includes the 1974 Oscar Nominated Documentary Malcolm X.

I'll also be getting The Color Purple with this one.

Release date has vanished from Amazon.
"This title has not yet been released.
You may pre-order it now and we will deliver it to you when it arrives."

Booooooo.

Columbia House canceled my pre-order yesterday morning. This is obviously upsetting. How could Warner Bros pull such an important release from the schedule?

Re: Spike Lee's 'Malcom X' 1/25/11 in digibook format

I'm surprised no one else has posted in this thread yet. I realized shortly after making my last post why this was probably delayed. I disagree with the decision, and hope that it's put right back on track.

I hope it won't be delayed too long. I was looking forward to watching this during the Oscar Challenge.

Maybe they pushed it back to be released during Black History Month.

Weird, WBShop still has it listed as the 25th, so does Best Buy. Not that they carry any more weight than Amazon.

Is it pathetic that I've never seen it? It's been on my want to see list forever it seems.. with this release I just might have to get it.

Maybe they've just pulled the limited packaging and will be updating soon with a standard release (not a knock on Digibooks, just thinking optimistically for folks excited about the release in general).
