Is this the Mission Impossible set?

I would love a digibook release of the directors cut of the 1st film.

I actually like the theatrical cut of the first one better, anyway.

Yes they are... The director's cuts of the films are on in the Blu-ray set. The un-authorized, Richard Donner hated, extended cuts are DVD only.

I believe the footage is available in the extras, just not integrated into the movies. Correct?

just purchased this from Amazon.uk for the robust price of $32 american. Probably won't see that price for the US set for a little while anyway...

It is for Lethal Weapon 1...haven't looked at my set in a while, so I can't remember for the others.

I picked it up from Amazon for $41 and change. Had a $10 credit. Ill plow through it this holiday weekend.

So, does the blu-ray set have the director's cuts or not ? Someone said it doesn't and someone said they did. If they're not in the blu-ray set, does the Lethal Weapon Complete Series dvd set on amazon have them ?

Answer: No

Weird. I remember Donner speaking favorably of them back when those cuts were first released.

Yes. All the extra scenes are included as deleted scenes.

Keep in my mind also that in the previous DVD incarnations, only Part IV had a commentary track from Donner. This new BD set now has new commentaries on I-III.

The bonus disc BTW, is a very good retrospective of the entire series.

Anyone know when this will be released in Canada? Has it been released in the states yet? Bestbuy.com still has it up for pre-order. I'm thinking about getting it from amazon.com.

Yep, I really enjoyed it. Just couldn't figured out why they chose to film it outside at night in the cold.

It came out last week in the US. I got mine through Amazon.

Is the commentary on IV not a different commentary than the existing track? It has a bunch of people on it.

I haven't listened to Donner's commentary on the BD set yet. I just assumed they ported over the same one from the DVD, which I haven't listened to in years.

According to Ryan Keefer's review here, he says it's the same one.
