Mad Max comming to Bluray as Bluray + DVD combo

The digital bits has cover art posted for an upcomming bluray + DVD combo set for Mad Max comming October 5th. And Amazon now has it up for pre order.
October continues to get even more expensive now lol

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...=bluray-019-20

In any case it will be nice to have another Mad Max movie on bluray, now if only wb would announce Thunderdome.

Now if only MGM would start releasing a few other Bond Blurays, since they seem to still be cranking out a handful of blurays each month. Its actually kind of funny even with as bad shape mgm is finnacially they are still managing to put out more discs than Disney. lol

I think MGM combos are actually a BR and seperate DVD disc. I know that alot of what they release is this way

According to Hi-Def Release Lists, it will be a bare-bones release.

Well, it'd better have the original dialogue track- that's a deal-breaker for me.

A Mel Gibson movie? Wow. MGM has some serious balls. I guess they did go into the jacuzzi.

These releases from MGM have a barebones BD and the previously released DVD with extras in atrocious DVD cases. I fucking hate MGM's laziness.

Re: Mad Max comming to Bluray as Bluray + DVD combo

The extras better be on the DVD. I think this was one of the titles where they initially released a flipper DVD with WS/FS on one side and the extras on the other. I believe they did redo it as a WS only with extras, but I'll be mad if it's another Escape From New York and I gotta have a second, separate DVD still.

Where's the "special Edition" treatment? Remastered? Deleted scenes or a directors cut (lots of scenes changed or toned down in the US theatrical version)? The bluray that's out now is just the 1080 version of the old bare bones dvd.

It does include a new commentary track and brief Leonard Maltin introduction.

I didn't know Mel Gibson was a young Tom Berenger.
