The best thing for me was watching an older movie that was supposed to have a good picture on DVD then watching the Blu. Assault on Precinct 13 (Carpenter version) DVD vs. Blu gave me my first WOW factor of how much improvement the Blu made over the DVD. Newer movies IMHO are not going to give you as much of an improvement.
