Alice in Wonderland Diamond Edition: 2011

James and the Giant Peach contains a trailer for Walt Disney's Alice in Wonderland, advertised for release in 2011. Screens and trailer can be found here.

There's also a trailer for The Lion King, but we already knew about that one.

Should specify that this is the 1951 animated version, and not a re-release of the Burton one.

Well, you know there will technically be a re-release for the 3D version of Burton's AiW.

If there's a coupon for AiW and I can get it for under $10... sold

Lion King, Ill definitely be picking up!

Complete idiocy that they didn't have this one ready to go when Burton's was released. The money they missed out on from cross-promotion must be staggering.

And there were trailers in the past for Dumbo, complete with a release date. and we all know how that turned out. yeah I am confident Lion King will be out next year as its a Diamond Edition. But I will believe alice in wonderland when i see it. By the way Alice isnt even a Diamond edition title.
and next years other Diamond release is suppose to be Bambi.

I agree. Big stupid. But Disney makes their schedule and sticks to it once announced.

You should count yourself lucky Great Mouse Detective got release and Black Cauldron is getting a DVD release on September 14. I would say track how many years it took them to get to the titles on DVD and expect that many years after they started Blu-ray before they release them.

^ granted that the last DVD edition of 'The Black Cauldron' looked like it was dragged through shit and not even anamorphic, this go around, a bluray edition should have been a given.

also, the most 'The Great Mouse Detective' had been released onto DVD before, yet the 2009 rerelease wasn't even announced for bluray either.

I didn't realize Lion King was on the slate for release on BD next year. That makes me happy, the audio on it should be phenomenal!
