It's definitely 16x9.

wide screen, watched it last nite. Was funny but not as funny as the first two.

They pretty much jokingly said they where phoning it in during the opening scroll.

I just watched a bit of Blue Harvest from the BD Trilogy...

I don't have any way of taking captures, but just to my naked eyes, it looks exactly like the DVD version. Pretty sure it's just been upscaled and slapped onto a BD. It looks fuzzy and has some artifacts around the edges. It definitely doesn't look anything like the other two.

I believe Blue Harvest was made before Seth and company started rendering and exporting HD masters; but I could be mistaken.

I don't know. The second one came before the regular episodes showed up in HD and it is definitely HD, though in full-frame.

In any case, the box says it's HD, so it should either be in HD or the box should disclose that it's not really HD. The only things in HD are the FBI warning, 20th Century Fox title, etc. The menus and actual content are garbage.

I don't know if its exclusive or not, but Walmart has this in a bluray/dvd combo pack. I was going to just buy the dvd but bluray set was only $5.00 more.

Not exclusive, saw a combo pack at Target this evening.

Re: Family Guy - It's a Trap! ----> 12/21/2010

Was the Blu-ray advertised as a Combo Pack? I had no idea. I bought both the Blu-ray trilogy and the standard DVD because I wanted to complete my DVD trilogy. If I knew the Blu-ray came with the DVD I would have waited. I mainly wanted the DVD so I could bring it home over the holidays. :/

BB had only about 3 copies of the trilogy set at 8am when they opened yesterday. Glad I picked that up.

Best Buy had a bunch this afternoon when I went. Nice looking set, but 3 of the 6 discs in my set were loose and scratched. Going to exchange it in the morning. Anyone else have trouble with this set?

I didn't check the price, but BJs has It's a Trap Blu-ray/DVD combo as well.

I got the Blu-ray box set, and the case doesn't list it, but the digital copy of "It's a Trap" says "DVD + Digital Copy." The other two just say "digital copy." Got mine from Amazon...

My copy of IAT in the box set is also a DVD+DC. It sucks that they just didnt do that for all 3 discs. How hard would it have been to just include the DVD+DC on all releases? Yeesh.

It honestly doesn't surprise me. Fox has released Blu-Rays of upconverted standard def material before (effects shots in Firefly, Simpsons Season 13 and half of Season 20).

Re: Family Guy - It's a Trap! ----> 12/21/2010

Anyone having any issues playing It's a Trap on their ps3?

I played it just fine thursday night, but now, once the Fox logo finishes playing, a smaller fox logo pops up in the middle of the screen and it just hangs there.

EDIT: nevermind.... randomly worked after I took the disc out and re-inserted it for the 3rd time.

Don't also forget: It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia - Season 5 and the Xmas special were both SD upconverts as well....

So what's the general opinion on IT'S A TRAP? I liked it better than SOMETHING SOMETHING...but I'm wondering if others felt the same.

I thought much of it was genuinely funny. Using real bikes for the forest chase was inspired, and the Seth Green jokes were pretty good. I enjoyed seeing THE CLEVELAND SHOW characters pop up, and the Sarlaac Pit sequence stretched a joke pretty effectively. It's not brilliant comedy by any means, and I have no idea why they need to drop F-bombs randomly, but those who enjoyed the first two will enjoy this one.

The Pee Wee's Big Adventure jokes were pretty funny. (The bike and "paging Mr. Herman")

Yeah, I liked the Seth Green jokes...but the biggest laugh for me was the nod to PLANES, TRAINS, & AUTOMOBILES for some reason...probably because I was tickled they gave a nod to one of my all-time favorite comedies.

I thought the actual "it's a trap" scene was a wasted opportunity. But overall it was a decent time...

I liked it more than Something Something, for sure.
