Re: The Hangover - Extreme Hangover Edition ----> 10/12/10

contains an exclusive, never-before-seen 28-page wedding album
Not gonna lie - if this were a digibook, I'd totally buy it for that reason alone.

Even though The Hangover was like $15 when it first came out...pretty damn cheap.
Which is what I paid for it and good enough for me.

If the only new feature is new photos than I am more embarrassed for the studio than I am outraged. That is a pretty pathetic work ethic they seem to have.

Easy pass. Will likely see a third release when the sequel hits anyway.

Not a digibook, but it is a physical book + slipcase.

The entire thing is sourced from the IMAX presentation, including the regular 35mm sequences. The traditional 35mm footage underwent noise reduction and was then artificially sharpened to look 'cleaner' when blown up to IMAX proportions.

By the end of the year several of these titles will be released and the signature will be reduced

So $50 for the same disc bundled with a 28 page wedding album? Ha!

I'll probably pick this up at Ross for $6.99 a year from now.

I never said I wouldn't otherwise buy it. I said digibook packaging would ensure that I bought it.

Re: The Hangover - Extreme Hangover Edition ----> 10/12/10

Is this going to be a new trend, putting the title of the movie in the special edition part? Are we going to start seeing things like Iron Man 2: Extreme Iron Man Edition?

This very well could be one of the most pointless re-releases ever. And less than a year than the regular Blu-ray came out.

This has gotta be fastest turnaround for re-release on BD, right?

depends on how you look at it. Otherwise...in a way Watchmen could be in that thing...but we all knew about it IMMEDIATELY when the news hit about the DC.

Re: The Hangover - Extreme Hangover Edition ----> 10/12/10

I loved this movie...but it's way too soon for a re-release. But i guess Warner knows there are lots of idiots out there that will gladly bend over and double or possibly triple dip on the same title which is why studios keep releasing the same title with so many different editions.

I'm happy with my Blu-ray copy...so definitely a pass.

Nah, only for movies where the movie name makes sense as the special edition title ... like in 2 years from now, we'll be talking about: 2012: The 2012 Edition
