I was browsing the Best Buy website and came across this:

I was planning on buying the Fletch BD, but is there a re-release scheduled? Or is that listing a mistake?

It's not the only Universal title scheduled for a re-release on this day or the week after. Bruce Almighty is another, and the Bourne Trilogy has a re-release the following week. I emailed Bill Hunt from The Digital Bits asking if he knew anything, and said it sounded like the studio had completely run out of stock and this is an additional printing that stores can order. Didn't make a lot of sense to me.

My thinking is that it could be the same discs but with movie money added, or something like that.

If anyone else has some insight, I'd be curious.

No, there's a wave of Universal re-packs on June 27th -- existing discs, but all have some form of Movie Cash included.

I wish they'd rerelease it. Not getting Chevy Chase's participation back during the DVD stage is unconscionable.
