Amazon did have that date shown, but then pulled it. I believe there are a few other sites with this same release date. I'll be purchasing this day 1. I thought the story was very interesting and I enjoyed the cast.

Anchor Bay Home Entertainment has announced DVD ($29.98) and Blu-ray ($39.98) releases of The Crazies for the 29th June. Extras will include an audio commentary with director Breck Eisner, featurettes ("Behind the Scenes", "Creepy Paranormal Pandemics", "Crazy Make-Up Mastermind: Rob Hall in Action", "Thematic Exploration of George A. Romero Films), storyboards, and more. The Blu-ray will also include a digital copy.

Didn't catch this in theaters, but I've heard enough good stuff that I'll likely pick it up. In fact, since AB sends me most of their new titles to review, I'll prob get it early.

I plan on buy this one right away. Will be a blind buy, but I've also heard a lot of good things about it. Sure hope that some big name catalogs get announced soon, though. It's been a while and lots of juicy rumors are out there (Moulin Rouge).

Loved this. Michael Eisner's kid sure knows how to create dread. Given AB's titles have become pretty cheap in the past, should be a good bet for a good price.

They're like $20 on release and $10 in two months (i.e. Pandorum).

For those who have seen these films, how does this compare to Pontypool if at all? I like the "new wave" of zombie-esque films of late and having just watched Pontypool, I kinda got the same"ish" vibe from the Crazies trailers.
