New MGM catalog Titles announced
It looks as though even with their financial troubles MGM is still working on getting their catalog titles out on bluray.
besides the april 6th Thomas crown release
MGM is now releasing Man in the Iron Mask and Hang Em High on May 11th.
heres hopeing we will see some additional catalog titles sooner rather than latter.
found this over at the other site

MGM turned to FOX to handle their Home video distribution, after they became unhappy over sony screwing up on sales of MGM Titles on DVD and Bluray a few years ago. a few years ago.
In all likelyhood it will be WB who ends up with the MGM Brand and Catalog.

Re: New MGM catalog Titles announced
I was able to get this one today at Best Buy. I was in there looking for Misery, since it's part of their $11.99 sale, along with this title. Rather than just bring out Misery from the back, they brought out the entire MGM/Fox cardboard display that had all the other titles, including Thomas Crown Affair. So I decided to get it as well. The specs say it's on a BD50, AVC transfer. Sounds like this may have been a fairly recent disc since it's on a BD50. The only feature is the commentary by McTiernan. No trailer listed on either disc.

So The Magnificent Seven is a) not available separately and b) missing features from the 2-disc DVD? The picture looks great, but that's pretty lame.

Yeah...i'll wait for a solo one. Also sad to see that they took out the Frayling commentary. LOVE his commentaries. Especially on the Leone westerns.
