Top Rated BD's list

At Blu-Ray.com they have two lists of top rated BD's. One by rated "users", the other rated by "reviewers". Is there such list(s) here? If so, where specifically?

There's a "Collector's Series" link in the reviews section but that's for DVDs. I'm hoping they will create one for BDs.

Re: Top Rated BD's list

There are at least a half dozen threads where people have rated their favorite Blu-ray's. Perhaps the mods should merge them and have a master list?

Re: Top Rated BD's list

There's no DVD Talk equivalent, since there's no comparable catalog of released titles. But let's say for the sake of discussion that this is something that might be incorporated somehow to this forum. I think it would be pretty easy to add a poll to the Reviews forum. What I'm picturing would be something like this:

POLL
How do you rate this release? - Kinda tricky to include rating the movie as well as the actual disc release in one poll, but maybe something like this would work. It's clunky as hell, though.

1. Movie - 1 star
2. Movie - 2 stars
3. Movie - 3 stars
4. Movie - 4 stars
5. Movie - 5 stars
6. DVD/BD - 1 star
7. DVD/BD - 2 stars
8. DVD/BD - 3 stars
9. DVD /BD - 4 stars
10. DVD/BD - 5 stars

REVIEW
This would be the official DVD Talk reviewer review. Other forum members would add their thoughts in subsequent posts, as is already the custom.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I'd be more likely to check out the Reviews forum if something like this was in place.

I am not sure exactly what you are going for, but the Picture Quality list is pretty comprehensive for Blu-ray. Basically, the movies at the top are the best-looking discs. The further down you go, the picture quality declines.

If you do a search for Blu reviews with the search field left empty, it brings them all up. Then just click on the "recommendation" header and you can sort by what it was given and have all the "collector series" listed at the top, in order of newest review to oldest.

Awesome, cartman. Works just fine.

Still dunno why they can't have a quick link to them.
