Just bought my first HD-DVD player
I know -I am late getting into HD-DVD, but decided today to give it a try. The player-Toshiba HD -A2 player cost 325 bucks thru Amazon. Also bought 19 movies plus 2 Music HD DVDs. The discs total was only about 140 bucks. Looking to purchase mostly Music HD-DVDs but looks like slim pickings in that category.

.........HD-DVD lost the format war. No offense but...what was the point of getting the HD-DVD player NOW? Don't you have a Blu-Ray player too, I believe? Was there something VERY specific that only HD-DVD released that isn't on Blu?

Dang dude, I could see picking one up if it was like $50 and came with a bunch of movies, but $465 for a player and 21 discs? I hope they were good movies because that's like $22 a disc.

Oh, were you being sarcastic? LOL.
On HD-DVD... The Big Lebowski and a lot of Universal titles are still exclusive. I still have my HD-DVD player (A2) as my bedroom player.

Yeah I still have my A2 and a lot of HDDVDs that aren't available on Blu quite yet.
I'm not complaining It was nice, especially considering how many discs I got for free back then.
