The only thing I will be really upset about losing is the gag reel. The Criterion version had one of the best gag reels ever, and I hope they find a way to get that on this version.

If by delayed you mean arriving early, then you are right.

Sadly, this is becoming par for the course with a lot of Disney titles this year...

Re: Armageddon May 4th!
well digitial bits said today that it is indeed comming on the 27th of April. so it looks like the bluray.com source might not be correct. cross fingers that their source is anyways as bill hunt can sometimes be wrong.

First, a quick update: There have been a few rumors about the street date for Disney's Armageddon and Tombstone. The studio initially gave us a street date of 5/4, and yet Amazon lists the date as 4/27. According to the studio this afternoon, it IS now 4/27. But you know... we'll update you if that changes again, 'cause these things do happen.

Re: Armageddon May 4th!
What is hilarious is that the "blu-ray.com source" I mentioned that first said it was being delayed is actually a guy (Jeff Kleist) who works on/with The Digital Bits and he posted the news that it had been delayed in The Digital Bits' own "insider" thread over there! I guess the right hand doesn't always talk to the left at their site all the time....

Honestly, you can't really blame Jeff or TDB since Disney continues to change it plans/minds every single day. One day it's on the schedule, the next it's off. Whenever they announce anything, just hold onto to the DVD until you actually see a physical Blu-ray copy. Hell, you want Dumbo? Import from Mexico! Remember Grey's Anatomy? Yeah, Season 5 came out in Mexico! Let's not even forget all the Alliance titles (who probably released more exclusive BD content in 2009 over Disney)
I'm just glad to see other things mentioned on TDB these days. He needs to rename it Battlestar Bits. Something is mentioned about BSG on that site everyday it seems. And it's always breaking news...

So, is the BD the Criterion extended cut or not? Amazon has the BD, original 1999 dvd and Criterion all listed as having the same runtime.

Re: Armageddon May 4th!
I was just about to post that. Pretty pathetic extras on both releases.
I had hoped Armageddon would get all the Criterion extras ported a'la The Rock. I expected more for Tombstone as well.

I'm honestly not sure if you are being sarcastic or serious....but a gun would not work in space because it is lacking the proper atmospheric conditions (namely oxygen) for the controlled explosion required to propel the bullet....
Same reason a fire cannot burn out in space....no oxygen to fuel it...
