Seeing as how it's one of my favorite horror films, I'll bite.

It looks like it's all the same features as the Infinifilm release, right?

I was wondering that as well. Also, didn't the box set that came out years ago have an exta disc? I'm not sure. I think the first Elmstreet on that set has all its extras on the Infinitifilm release though.

That would be 4. They also recast one.

5 is pretty damn bad.

Dream Warriors is and will most likely always be my favorite of the Elm Street movies.

With that said, I'm not sure if I'll pick up the NoES blu-ray or wait for the possible (but not probable?) blu-ray boxset that includes the remake...

From Blu-ray.com --

This BD release will exclusively include a BonusView feature titled Ready Freddy Focus Points, where users can "see alternate takes and learn filmmaking secrets behind the nightmare by jumping to video highlights while watching the movie."
Also, not sure if this was mentioned before:

All units include Movie Money (value $7.50) to see the Nightmare on Elm Street remake, in theaters April 30.

Is it safe to sell my Infinifilm DVD? Are all the same special features on this BD?

I don't have my DVD at hand, but here's what Warner says is on the BD:

- READY FREDDY FOCUS POINTS – See Alternate Takes and Learn Filmmaking
- Secrets Behind the Nightmare by Jumping to Video Highlights While Watching the Movie
- 2 Commentaries: 1) Director Wes Craven, Co-Stars Heather Langenkamp and John Saxon
and Cinematographer Jacques Haitkin, 2) Wes Craven, Co-Stars Robert Englund,
Heather Langenkamp and Ronee Blakley, Producer Robert Shaye and Co-Producer Sara Risher
Robert Shaye
- Alternate Endings
3 Featurettes:
- The House That Freddy Built: The Legacy of New Line Horror
- Never Sleep Again: The Making of A Nightmare on Elm Street
- Night Terrors: The Origins of Wes Craven’s Nightmares

I believe that's everything on the Infinifilm. Thanks!

So there's nothing on the BD that's not on the Inifinifilm release?

We'll know soon enough as review copies start arriving today (my friend has his).

Cool. I have it ordered from Amazon, but will cancel the order if there's nothing new.

What about those focus points? Those are new.

Yeah, it might be though strange Warner didn't say it's a BD Exclusive like they normally do. OTOH, I seem to recall something similar on the Inifilm DVD which sometimes had those kind of features.

I gotta get this on release day. The whole series is excellent. Part 6 was REALLY ridiculous, but with that being said its still watchable.

The trailer is no longer included. That's what's missing.

Luckily, I have the 4 Film Favorites sets, for the sequels, and that has the trailers.

Yeah, I still have Nightmare on Elm Street collection that was released 10 years ago so the trailers are on there. Hopefully we'll see the series on BD when the remake comes out on BD.

Most impressive...especially considering the 2-disc Infinifilm SE DVD release they were all taken from dates way back to 2006....this is a very unexpected, but welcome surprise....
