Hell my daughter was watching the newest Harry Potter dvd on our tv without a blu ray player and I could not believe how bad it looked compared to the blu ray. It was a muted jaggy mess of a picture. The blu ray picture is pristine.

I agree on "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince". It's literally *unwatchable* on DVD; the Blu-ray, though, looks just like it did in the theater.

I find a lot of older movies have really benefited:

Dr. No
From Russia With Love
Goldfinger
Thunderball
Dirty Harry
Magnum Force
A Passage To India
The Searchers
The Godfather 1 & 2
Cars (obviously a newer movie, but it really came alive on Blu-ray due to both video and audio improvements)
