Re: Let The Right One In-UK version has been corrected!

For what it's worth, Amazon.uk wrote to tell me that their fulfillment center told them that they were aware of the issue and the corrected copies were what they were already sending out for new orders. Unfortunately, they didn't state how long they've been doing this. Hopefully everyone will get the corrected audio and not have to send their discs back through the replacement program.

I'm definitely leaning towards this import version. What other differences are there between this and the US release?

In Canada, it'll be cheaper for me to get the UK disc, as opposed to either the US disc or the Canadian one (which is the same as the US, just a slightly different cover)

Thanks. I'm going ahead and ordering this now.

Aside from the subs, is there anything about the UK version that makes it preferable? Otherwise I'll just wait till the US version with the corrected subs become more available.

The UK version has a director's commentary. The US version does not.

I got my disc from Amazon UK today. Ordered it late last week. Both my player and receiver (to which I am bitstreaming) are displaying DTS-HD MA. I'm assuming this means this is the new one.

Isn't the UK disc PAL?

Dan 12-18-09 12:24 PM

Re: Let The Right One In-UK version has been corrected!

there is no PAL, only zool! I mean, 1080p/24fps. :)

Unless there's special features in PAL.

According to The Bits post yesterday, a corrected US BD has finally been spotted. Pics are included.

Thanks for this. After visiting three Barnes and Noble stores with no luck, I finally found a version with the theatrical subtitles at the store in Murray, Utah.

I've been wanting to re-watch the film since I first saw it last December, so I'm excited to finally own a copy.

Yes, it is the correct version. Folks in the UK never had to deal with messed up subtitles, only audio.

I received the corrected UK disc directly from Momentum yesterday.

First I tried it on my region-free player, and all was well re: the Master Audio.

Then I put it in my US PS3, just to see if anything wouldn't work.

Everything worked on my PS3 except the photo gallery. It must be in PAL.

I just placed an order for the UK Blu-Ray. I already have the U.S BD, don't know why it took me so long to get the UK to replace it.

Probably because the audio issue on the UK BD was fixed only a few weeks ago?

Oh, I meant why it took so long for me to order the UK release.

Originally I wanted to order it right away because of the Theatrical Subs. Didn't know anything about the Audio problems then. I guess it's a good thing I waited, as the copy that I'll hopefully receive in a couple weeks will be the newly corrected ones.

For those who ordered from Amazon UK, how fast did you get yours? Mine shipped out on 12/18 and I still haven't received mine yet :(.

Still waiting on mine, too.

Isn't there an expected delivery date on your Order Status on Amazon UK? Has it gone past that?

Oddly enough usually when I order through Amazon UK, everything is shipped through Royal Mail and everything comes within 2 weeks or less.

This time with my Amazon UK order (which included Let The Right One In) everything is shipped through Deutsche Post DHL, which is expected to deliver near the end of January :(

Re: Let The Right One In-UK version has been corrected!

Yep, mine has a date of 12/31, but all my previous Amazon UK orders have managed to arrive in 3-4 days believe it or not. Maybe they changed the shipping carrier as I don't remember what it was called.
