Re: Public Enemies (Mann) -- December 8th
Has anyone found a specially marked BD at Best Buy?
Someone went to get me it as a gift, and they claimed there were no differently marked packaged claiming to have Best Buy exclusive footage.

I found one. For those going to Best Buy, check that the front slipcover has a "Best Buy Bonus Disc Exclusive" sticker. The bonus disc comes in a paper CD slip inside the packaging.

I was at Target this morning. There was a "Target Exclusive" sticker also, detailing that there was a production booklet inside. The booklet appears to be inside the DVD case itself since it is not attached to the outside or anything like that.
Does anyone happen to have pictures of this so we can compare with it's worth it to give up on the Best Buy bonus disc?

Bestbuy has an exclusive bonus disc, but not in all copies, just those marked with a sticker. Target has an extra booklet packed in marked copies. otherwise, regular version is single disc.

My Blu-ray had a sticker on the slipcover. The website has it for $18.99 too. Best Buy Customer Service emailed me a $20 digital coupon for some trouble I had with the website, so I used that and got the 3-disc Best Buy Exclusive Blu-ray for free!

I inadvertantly bought a copy without the bonus disc. Is the bonus disc worth going back to the store for? Anyone know the running time of the disc?

Forgot about the bonus disc myself. Oh well. Didn't see any with the bonus disc marked.

I haven't watched it, but just popped it in to check the length. It's 31:23. It is, however, a DVD. So if you're expecting a Blu-ray bonus disc, you're not going to get it.

Got my copy today at Best Buy and it has the bonus disc. Be very careful when you get one. They had them all mix up with the non bonus disc. There's a sticker on the right saying "Best Buy Bonus Disc"

Eh, while it would've been nice to have, doesn't sound like something I'd watch that often... But thanks for the breakdown.

Got it at Wal-Mart and have to say that this is probably the best picture quality I have ever seen on a Blu-Ray. It's like looking through a window at the action.

This one is going into the rotation of movies I frequently watch. I don't get how people can find parts of it boring...the pacing seemed just about right to me.

^ Agree 100%. I hope they don't forget about it too much when Oscar nods are done. The cinematography and score are worthy of a nom IMO. I honestly feel this movie might have fared better critically and commercially had it come out in early/mid-October.

Had a hell of a time trying to get this to play past the random previews. It simply would not load the main menu on my Panny BD-60. Only after I downloaded the 2.2 firmware did it finally play.

I got this from BB with the bonus disc. It was a blind buy, and I enjoyed the film immensely.
Did anyone notice the wording on the back cover that says "some scenes may differ from theatrical release", or something to that effect? Odd, since it bears its original MPAA rating, which would not be valid if changes had been made to the version submitted for review.

Well, I'm no longer setting foot in a store until the holidays are over. It's even worse right after Xmas and all the returns. I'll happily wait until January to probably pick this up, but more importantly, pick up Inglourious Basterds[sic]
