Re: Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen - 10/20/09
Picked up the Wal-mart version, they had like 30 left and it looks like the stocked around 75-100.

Re: Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen - 10/20/09
Mine was 'sold out' of the Blu-ray until I asked - below the counter they had a box full of them. I paid $13 for my Blu-ray while the next guy paid $15 for his 1 disc DVD

Just picked up my copy at a local BB.
One of the tabs that locks the Blu-Ray case shut already broke off :( |

I don't know where jimrochester got his in the area, but mine in Greece (rochester, ny) only had fifteen copies out. And from what I could tell I was the first to buy at 9am this morning. In defence of my walmart they had a stock cart infront of the single section they have for Blu, that all sorts of boxes on it. I took alook at it and didn't see any more boxes of Blu, but I could've missed it.
I went to the one in Gates on Buffalo Rd |
Re: Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen - 10/20/09

Who in Socal is finding TF2 for 13.00 at Walmart? I need to go there plus I got the coupon or is the 13 after coupon?
|
Re: Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen - 10/20/09
^ Beats me. My SoCal Wally World had them for $19.96. I tried using the Papa John's coupon I printed from a scan online and the dumbass working couldn't get it to enter. I said forget it, paid and left.

Re: Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen - 10/20/09
I paid 13.00 for 2-disc BD at Wal-Mart in Atlanta off Lawrenceville-Suwanee Rd.
I had to ask for it, they had a box behind the counter filled with them, though. The shelf tags also said the price was 13.00, and this wasn't a 'special' but looked to be the regular tags. |
Re: Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen - 10/20/09
Paid $19.96 in East Greenbush(right outside of Albany in NY).

I love how you hide where you buy your stuff. Scratching out the area code
But no, I was laughing at how you said you bought Walmart. Meanwhile, I picked up mine at Walmart this morning. All of them were in the big plastic cases, and they had about 5 on the shelves when I swung by around 9 AAM. |
Re: Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen - 10/20/09
Mine rang up as $15.17
$16.08 out the door. If only I had one of those Papa John's coupons. What a steal. Disc looks great. |
Re: Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen - 10/20/09
Damn. I'd love to check and see if it's $13 at mine.

Re: Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen - 10/20/09
So did Sam's Club also get the exclusive BIG SCREEN edition?
|
Re: Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen - 10/20/09
Paid $14.99 for mine today at the WM.
I don't know why I'm giving the  as I hated this movie and I only snagged it as it was cheap, it was the IMAX version, and I'm still a Michael Bay apologist. |
Re: Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen - 10/20/09
Does Walmart Canada have the Imax edition? I pre-ordered the futureshop steelbook edition but i also want the Imax one!
Anyone in Canada can confirm for me please? Thanks |

I was about to post "Where's Xage with every version known to mankind?".
You Sir, are the closest we have to an online museum for DVD/BD collectables. |
Re: Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen - 10/20/09
$19.96 at mine as well. At least they took the $3 coupon.
|
Re: Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen - 10/20/09
Wife picked it up for $15 at our local Wal-Mart.

I just checked out the IMAX scenes and honestly, I don't see why he even bothered. The only real scene that makes a difference was the fight in the forest. And it's not like he even filmed the whole sequence since it begins as they are already fighting. The pyramid portion seemed like it was just a few seconds. I have it now, but I had I known how much it really doesn't add to the experience, I would have bought it at Fry's or BB. Nolan definitely knew how to use the format to enhance the scenes, Bay seems to have just picked random stuff and probably wanted to play with the cameras or something.
Once the Aspect Ratio changed in TF2, it was a huge "Holy Shit" moment for me. The detail/clarity went into overdrive! It anything, it serves as great demo material. |
