Carrey's Grinch on Blu-ray for October

Universal Studios Home Entertainment has announced the Blu-ray release of Ron Howard's 'How the Grinch Stole Christmas', starring Jim Carrey, for October 13, on a BD/DVD combo edition. The movie will be presented in 1.85:1 1080p video, accompanied by a 5.1 English DTS-HD Master Audio soundtrack, and English, French and Spanish subtitles.

Awesome I have been hopeing they would be releasing this on bluray quite a while now. And very excited to see its including D-Box Motion Code.

Considering it was a HD15 disc before...this sounds like a BD25 release.

It'll be interesting to see how much of an improvement there is in the image quality since the film is intentionally soft and almost hazy at times. I watch this and listen to the (promo) score every holiday season.

I like how they're keeping the green case like the original DVD had....if I pick this up, it will go nicely with my Green Lantern and Incredible Hulk "Green-ray" cases on the shelf!

Alright, the green case is cute. Not enough to rebuy it...but cute.
