I was debating that too and I think I'm just going to get the SD two pack of Blue Harvest and this during Boxing sales.

Yeah, but with the coupons ($3 manufacturer/$5 Target), it was $11.99 at Target. For $1 less I'll "settle" for the Blu-ray.

I wasn't going to...but I saw it at Best Buy and the slip cover sold me. I'll stop by after work at Target and nab it for $12.

Ditto. Found a scan but it was really crappy and made the text unreadable.

Used a print out of the scan with no problems at Target w/ the $5 coupon. $11.99 + tax. Love the sliipcover. took off the giant sticker from the front and put it on the blu ray box instead. Didnt need that monster on the front.

Printed coupon from here with no problems. Used the one for family guy and Master & Commander.

I got the DVD since I have all of Family Guy on DVD. A shame it came in a damn eco-case though. Yuck.. I price-matched with a Fry's ad from my local paper and got it for just $9.95 at Best Buy.

So the DVD has extra features not on the Blu-ray?

Like what? I have the Blu-ray. If someone can say what the DVD has I can tell you if there is anything that's not on the BD.

On a side note, I thought the movie itself was just ok, not near as well done as Blue Harvest.

Unless I just read this wrong:

I looked at both of them in traget today, and the only difference in extras was the digital copy.

The quality of the video on the BD is awesome. Its very clean and didnt notice any animation glitches like some older family guy episodes had on video. Hope Blue Harvest gets re-released soon on BD.

Re: Family Guy: Something, Something, Something, Dark Side---> 12/22/09

Wasn't quite sure where to put a new thread for this question, so I figured this would be the best place to ask this:

Back when Blue Harvest was first out, someone posted a high-res picture (or maybe a link to it) of the Blue Harvest movie poster. Does anyone know if they've made a high-res for the Something Something poster? I've searched around some, and can't find anything.

Re: Family Guy: Something, Something, Something, Dark Side---> 12/22/09

I watched this at a friend's house last night and, my god, it was completely devoid of any and all laughs - I mean, I've seen most FG episodes, and they can certainly be hit and miss, but I've never seen one miss as big as this piece of shit.

I'm guessing that they probably knew how bad this was which is probably why they didn't air it before selling it like they did with the last one - because if people saw it on TV first, no one would buy it. I'm glad I didn't pay money for it. Not one single laugh. Seriously.

I found it to be a good episode. Some funny jokes, some not so much. But I have found the last season of family guy not as funny as past episodes but found SSDS pretty good.

I thought it was awesome! If you own a pet and didn't laugh at one of the AT-AT gags, then you truly ARE dead inside... I loved this.

This really made me laugh out loud.

Anyway I loved the movie, had me laughing plenty and seemed too short.

First review I've seen with some 1080p shots:

Looks good. GF picked it up for me for $12 at Target so I'll give it a spin soon.

Re: Family Guy: Something, Something, Something, Dark Side---> 12/22/09

my Target was out of the BD, so I just grabbed the DVD. Figured it will look good enough through upconvert, plus I own all the other Family Guy releases on DVD as well.
