How does he Google a picture of someone he doesn't know the name of?
It's Spencer Pratt. Now move on.

This is in my gold box for $20.xx. Do you guys think BB might have it cheaper. I wouldn't mind getting RZ points for it.

I already mentioned that there is a Walmart print ad coming out next week that shows they will be selling it for $19.96 in their stores....grab a copy of that ad and price match it at BB if you really want the RZ points for it...

I put him on ignore a while ago just because of his avatar.

I don't have any idea who Spencer Pratt is, so I looked him up on Wikipedia.

I still don't have any idea who he is.

Maybe he could play Khan in the sequel.

That Target exclusive actually looks kinda rad. I might have to grab it depending on price.

I'll pick it up if it's up to $5 dollars extra. If it's anything above that, it's ridiculous. But I'm guessing it'll be about $30

FYE will only have the DVD steelbook. Future Shop will have the Blu-ray steelbook.

No it's not.

5/5 for the movie is pure hyperbole. That's a perfect score that should be reserved for proven classics such as Godfather or Lawrence of Arabia. It's a good movie, but certainly not a 5/5 - so when they exaggerate like that, I really can't take the rest of their review seriously.

Have you seen the Blu-ray yet? Remember they are also taking into consideration PQ, audio and extras. So unless you have seen it in HD, I wouldn't be so quick in dismissing the review.

slop101 11-09-09 12:50 PM

Re: Star Trek: Nov 17

No, PQ has it's own separate score from the movie - I've seen the movie, so I can take umbrage with that score and extrapolate that they've also exaggerated the other scores - most reviewers tend to do this - even when the movie's really bad, sometimes the other scores seem to suffer as a result.

I think it would be silly for a 5/5 to be reserved for those types of movies. And besides, it's just one reviewer's opinion on the movie itself. It doesn't detract from the video and audio reviews.

Yes, because newer films simply CANNOT rate a 5/5. What nonsense. I would give this film a 5/5, easy. For how damn good it was, it deserves such a score. Even more impressive is that it was able to hold true to the original series and not make much of the rabid fan base turn on their haunches and say nothing but bad things about this film.

It's not about being new, it's about room to improve - a 5/5 means that there was nothing wrong with the movie and that it could not improve in any way, which is absolute nonsense. If you agree that the movie could not be improved on, well then you have no business reviewing movies.
