Updated the OP to reflect the correct MSRP. Also noted www.Blu-ray.com listed the $49.95 MSRP yesterday but has since posted an update correcting it to $39.95. They too got the information from the Criterion.com website and went with it.

It must be noted that with these titles, the Criterion Collection is abandoning its previous policy of pricing their BD edition to match the standard-def editions: all three titles have an MSRP of $49.95, while the DVD editions stay at $39.95, the usual price for the studio.

Update: the pricing information has been changed on the Criterion website, and MSRP for the above three titles has been changed back to $39.95. So it seems it was simply a site error and
