Good, another convert to OCD-like list making!

Lists that may get long may work better spread across multiple posts, especially if you add any fancy formatting, or any new categories get added.

re: Blu-rays that include a DVD and/or Digital Copy inside

My copy of Eagle Eye contained a DVD ..... and no BD.

But seriously, it contained a disc1 and a disc 2, both DVD. Obviously mine was at least half an error, but I'm curious as to how it was supposed to be packaged. One BD? One BD and then disc two from the SD?

Also, is the apostrophe in Blu-rays in the thread title correct? Not trying to be nit-picky, just one of those things that I can't help but mention.

The Twilight DC from Target was just a code for iTunes. Also, the X-Men DC discs only come with the Trilogy boxset. Just thought you might want to specify that in the OP.

My copy of Eagle Eye was just a single BD.

Will special features be on both, or are they including the SE DVD and leaving the BD barebones like Road House and other MGM films?

It included a Digital Copy of the film and Special Features. I plan on adding more info in those cases.

In Spaceballs case I think the BD will have features on the disc and just a copy of the DVD. I won't know for sure until Fox sends me a copy (which won't be early so your better off waiting until release day to find out)

I wonder how many people actually got The Princess Bride on DVD for the first time due to the bonus. They certainly re-released it enough times.

In addition to the ones listed in the first post, Blu-ray Disc/DVD "combos" listed at Columbia House include:

Dark Blue
Heathers
Out of Time
Walking Tall

I haven't seen them to verify this.

IIRC, Heathers only included the DVD if you bought the Locker giftset (which had the BD, DVD and some other junk). The actual Heathers BD does not include the DVD (I bought mine on release week). Has it been reissued?

WB's digital copies are being released in a limited time frame. Body of Lies is now being restocked without one, which explains why only the slipcover says "Digital Copy Special Edition". I'm sure the rest in that series will be treated the same way. I've also seen The Matrix without it as well. Keep that in mind.

Then maybe a † or some other symbol next to those?

Thanks. But that makes my experience even stranger. I received a blu-ray double case, with two DVDs inside. Checked a round a little bit and haven't heard of anyone else running into this.

Thanks for reminding me of this, I think this makes a quintuple dip for me, oh wait, I guess 6 DVDs, although I imagine the DVD in the BD is the exact same pressing as one of the earlier releases.

Gizmo,

Are you still going to maintain this? If so, we should probably add the expiration dates for the digital copies, as they all have them afaik. If not, anyone else want to volunteer?

Coraline is listed as a BD/DVD combo + digital copy.

Exp. codes would be touch to track. I'm pretty sure studios now are removing the DCs after a few months of release so it may be pretty rare to see an old Digital Copy to a year old film. Inkheart, for example, already has a BD only release (like all Warner/Newline films will, the DVD/DC will be first run only).

That's a little different. But the releases that have the digital copy, the expiration date is written on the packaging. I'm thinking it would be nice to track those, and many people forget about them and lose the (legal) ability to import the digital copy.

As people add titles to your master list, they can mention the expiration date.

Ok, sounds good. Typically its a year from when the disc was pressed (Spring Break pressed in Feb and released in June...DC expires in Feb)
