I love "The Conversation", but an excellent, comprehensive blu ray already exists for it (imo). Whereas a film like The Rain People only has a shitty barebones MOD dvd.

The movie or the disc?

The disc is pretty feature-loaded. The movie is pretty dated (as the name implies) and stage-y, but well-acted.

After watching it, you need to watch Amy Schumer's spoof in Season 3 of her show.

Next to Lone Star, Men with Guns is Sayles at his finest. He premiered it at SXSW and did a really good Q&A after the screening. One surprising thing to learn was that he knew zero Spanish when he wrote it, so he learned it during the writing process.

That said, I liked these as they were released over time, but I don't find myself revisiting them. I hope I live to see the "Amour" version.

Yea, those covers are very underwhelming.

I really hope they eventually split up the movies. While I enjoyed all 3 of them, I prefer the first one. I find it more interesting and charming and has much more replay value than the other two..

I love Being There but not sure if I'll buy it on Blu-ray again.

Even though I saw it in 2015, I reviewed 45 Years early this year, and it still stands as one of the best of the year.

Interesting choice for the cover art, as that part was left to the imagination in the movie, and it is NOT how I imagined it.

I have no idea what the chances are, but I would certainly welcome a Criterion edition *if* they fix the color issue that has prevented me from upgrading to the Universal 20th Anniversary Edition.

One of the few titles I have refused to upgrade to BD despite there being a better transfer available (other than the color issue).

If Criterion were given the opportunity to release a BD, I think they'd probably use the same transfer. Per Spike Lee, it was Ernest Dickerson's choice to remove the filter for the BD release.
