Wow. This would be Universal's first pre-1960 BD title, I believe.

Above the Law / Under Siege / Under Siege 2 (Triple-Feature)
Twister / Poseidon / Perfect Storm (Triple-Feature)
Red Planet / 2010 / Contact (Triple-Feature)
V for Vendetta / Watchmen / Constantine (Triple-Feature)
Seven / Copycat / Taking Lives (Triple-Feature)
Alexander Revisited / Troy / 300 (Triple-Feature)
Point of No Return / Domino / Long Kiss (Triple-Feature)
Friday the 13th / Nightmare on Elm St / Freddy Vs (Triple-Feature)
Searchers / Wild Bunch / How the West Was Won (Triple-Feature)
Well, crap. I pre-ordered the Seagal only to have them announce an Under Siege double feature for a 19.98 SRP and 3/13/12 release date. Now I have to decide whether I'd rather skip Above the Law and save 3.50.

Under Siege/Under Siege-Dark Territory
Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle & Escape From
True Romance/Natural Born Killers
Body of Lies & Three Kings
Mask/Dumb & Dumber

LOL.

Only a decade late, Anchor Bay.

EDIT: What happened to the 3D version? That would be amazing if they made people buy the horrific BRII to get a copy of that. Literally the worst movie I've ever seen... so bad it's... just bad

I've been debating importing the UK version. I guess I'll hold out for a U.S. release. Wow, I never thought I would write that in regards to Battle Royale.

I have the Arrow LE boxset and it's amazeballs. The only Arrow release available now is encoded Region B, so I'd say wait just on the basis of the amount of players you can easily watch it on.

Now they can say they're timing it for The Hunger Games

I read that too.

The author of Hunger Games said she has never watched/read Battle Royale... it kind of insulting if they say "The inspiration for Hunger Games" on the box.

I'd say the odds are pretty good that it's accurate, even if the exact release date turns out to be a little earlier or later. Spielberg confirmed that it's coming a while back.

Reindeer Games DC-3/6
Runaway Jury-2/28
Melancholia-3/13

Edited to add that Runaway Jury looks like 2/28 and not 3/6.

Made my decision easy. Just checked today and the pre-order price for the double features is now 16.99, and I had pre-ordered the triple feature for 17.49 (now up to 22.49). I'll keep the extra movie for 50 cents.

I'm not bothered by that because I'll be able to grab it for about $10.

A few more Hitchcock titles have TBA 2012 listings on Blu-ray.com's UK page, with US announcements presumably to follow:

Dial M for Murder
Strangers on a Train

Also, BFI's restorations of Hitchcock's silents are supposed to be making their Blu-ray debuts next year, so it looks like 2012 will be the year of Hitchcock. With Universal finally appearing to be making the commitment to catalog titles, we could finally see The Birds as well.

Re: Blu-ray release announcements - Part IV

No release date or US listing yet, but Amazon UK has a listing up for House of Wax (1953) in 3D.
