Blu-rays with more features than SD list?
I just joined the Blu-ray bandwagon so I'm not sure if this has been posted in this forum before because obviously I never checked it out before. Is there a list or a site that tells you what Blu-rays have additional features/alternate cuts compared to the normal SD version. Sorry if this has been posted before, I'm just curious about it. Thanks

I tried doing a quick search via Google but couldn't find it.
You could go to highdefdigest.com and search reviews by Blu-ray exclusives to get an idea of what's out there...

Yeah I know that but I was hoping for some list to see what's different on certain stuff.
Oh well, I guess it doesn't exist yet....

Re: Blu-rays with more features than SD list?
As nearly everyone on this forum are mad lovers of digital copies, I just read this on blu-ray.com on the upcoming release of the remake of Friday the 13th....
Warner: Free Digital Copies for Blu-ray; Pay-to-Play with DVD
Warner Home Video has revealed that, starting with the upcoming release of the 2009 remake of 'Friday the 13th', they will begin charging DVD customers $1.99 to gain access to a digital copy of the film, while providing them free as part of the Blu-ray release. While this has no impact on Warner's current Blu-ray standards, it does narrow the price difference between the two formats.
The change in policy is not only meant to make the Blu-ray format more attractive to potential customers, but also to react to trends they are seeing with the use of digital copies. Blu-ray owners tend to use the provided digital copies at a much higher rate than DVD owners.
As previously reported, the Blu-ray release of 'Friday the 13th' features two exclusive extras, and now a free digital copy of the film, giving fans even more reason to purchase the Blu-ray.

Re: Blu-rays with more features than SD list?
Oh yeah, this has already been done with a couple titles (Nights In Rodanthe comes to mind)....ask Gizmo about it, he said in another thread (in the DVD forum I believe) that from the info he has heard from his industry contacts, this IS the upcoming plan....while studios previously released plain 1 disc releases and loaded 2 disc special editions, eventually DVD will only get the lesser single disc release and the Blu-ray will take the place as the "Special Edition" release....
