Punch-Drunk Love
Apparently Paul Thomas Anderson's supervising the transfer of PDL on Blu-Ray. I haven't heard any release announcement on this title, but I guess we'll be hearing about it soon enough.

This will be in my collection, and I'll be waiting for his remaining 3 films to get the Blu-Ray treatment.

I would really like a Sandler/PTA commentary on this. I know PTA stopped doing them at some point because people started taking the things he said in the commentary verbatim but I still think they could have an interesting discussion about the movie.

I'll be thrilled if I get all 3 of the "tentative" July titles that I want:
Chasing Amy
Go
Silverado
Other tentatives from later in the year I'd like would be:
Braveheart
Contact
Heat
I'd also be very disappointed if we don't get a Rounders release this year.

i can not wait to pick this up, Adam Sandlers best acting performance, such a shame that like jim carrey before him in the truman show, that the academy was to shortsighted to nominate him for such an incredible performance.

This is my second favorite PTA film after TWBB. I liked Hard Eight, didn't like Boogie Nights and utterly loathed Magnolia. PDL was a breath of fresh air after the 3 hours of misery that was Magnolia.

Re: Punch-Drunk Love
I really want all of PTA's films on BD as well, but most have such nice packaging that I hate to give them up for generic blue cases. Still, pq is paramount, so I'll definitely upgrade.
Now, please, get on a Boogie Nights BD already!

Additional catalog titles we've been told to expect on Blu-ray before the end of the year from Warner and New Line include... Magnolia, Boogie Nights.. (all TBA).

So I guess PDL Blu-Ray fell off the face of the earth.
I've heard July... and then I've heard September.
Sony's site made no mention of it in their upcoming releases and Amazon has it listed with no date assigned to it.
I guess it's not happening now.

Looks that way. Tues came and went and I've heard nothing. Although I'd much rather see Boogie Nights this year (and even that is looking less and less likely) I really hope they re-announce this soon. PTA's films scream for hi-def.

Um, yeah, what the heck happened? This is one of my most anticipated Blu-ray releases. They really need to put this out along with Boogie Nights and Magnolia.
