Is it really OCD to want to have all the movies together on the same shelf? Maybe, I don't know I'm not a doctor.

What I do know is that I haven't played an HD-DVD in months and would rather have titles that I will watch multiple times on a current format. If my order goes smoothly, I might go back and do a few more (matrix, superman and others...)

For The Matrix: Ultimate Collection it says to send in the pice of paper on the back of the box? I throw that kind of shit out. Am I S.O.L. in that case? I really want to upgrade that set.

Might have to do this. I only have a total of 9 HD DVD's (I got into the format like a month before it was announced as dead) and 6 of them are Warner titles.

Figure this - Most Warner HD DVD's at Frys run between $6.99 - $9.99. Then add in $4.95 to "upgrade to Blu". The cheapest you will get a "Blu" replaced is $12. Is all that hassle worth it? For me, I might do the HP giftset for $15 (only requires 1 digibook inside the case), Planet Earth (It has a slip cover so I dont see the spine anyway).

I packed up all my movies for an impending move...but I'd say I have 85% of all Warner HD DVDs produced. Pretty sure that's around 100 or so...gulp.

This makes sense for Casablanca and Matrix (since the Animatrix is HD on Blu-ray but SD on HD DVD). Any other true upgrades instead of mere replacements?

Also, I seriously hope I kept the slip from the Matrix set. Probably didn't. Actually, if I didn't keep the slip, I could just send in the box cover, right? It must have a UPC code on it. Each disc is in its own case, anyway. Looking at the site, it specifically mentions the paper slip. I might email them to ask about the box cover.

Too bad the 300 Disk that came with the A3 doesn't have a UPC code on it. I'd like to upgrade that one. I think I'll be in for about 10 titles on this deal.

Casablanca HD will get you the BD equivilant...just not in the fancy box. Apparently Warner is pressing 'normal' Blu-ray versions for this upgrade. No idea if it will include the new bonus features or not.

You need the paper back-slip thing for the Ultimate (Combo) Matrix set. The Complete one won't work

There are only a few 'big' upgrades IMO and that would The Perfect Storm (new 1080p encode), Terminator 3 (for the PiP) and the Matrix set. Everything else would either be minor improvements in PQ or a downgrade in audio (losing TrueHD tracks on the HD for DD on some BDs).

It's not the big box version though. Someone on HDD called adn Warner said it was the film in a normal BD case. Unknown if the new special features will be included though (were they on one disc for the Blu-ray?).

So can anyone list which titles got an additional bonus features in the switch to BD? I'd likely upgrade those (didn't Batman Begins or Christmas Story get something extra? can't remember), as well as upgrading my Matrix set. Although, I don't have that paper slip either, so I hope stuffing the box in will suffice.
