Same here. I sent mine in a week and a half ago, so I called them to see if they got it or not. The rep was super friendly and she said that, worst case scenario, if there's any problem with shipping the "return to" address directs it to WB anyways.

Received the Casablanca Ultimate Collectors Edition gift set in the mail today less than 2 weeks after mailing the hd-dvd cover.

They sent the whole gift set and not just the disc in a blu-ray case?

Nice to have confirmation that they are actually sending the gift set, considering the higher price tag....

Bad to hear that you can't get it in a regular BD case at the cheaper price point though, as previously mentioned.....

I could be wrong but initially they had the Casablanca Ultimate Collector's Edition listed as the trade for Casablanca, so if you got your order in quickly that is what you should get in return. Those who were later saw that they had changed exchange to the non-UCE edition, so those are going to get the simple Blu Ray disc of Casablanca.

George

Well, guess I was wrong, sorry about that. When I put my order in, the exchange rate was $4.95, looks like it is $9.95 now and all should be getting the Ultimate Collector's Edition, as noted on their website.

Yup, the big gift set. Though it would've been nice to get it in a regular case since I already own the gift set.

Re: Warner launches "Red2Blu" trade-in program

I think I'll just flip my UCE of Casablanca on Half.com along with the Harry Potter blu-ray set when I get them, and stick with the HD-DVDs until a disc-only Casablanca and complete Harry Potter collection comes out in the future. I should net around $120. I'll probably keep the other 20 or so single disc movies in the same order.

I procrastinated too long with this and now have to pay more for the Matrix set. :(
Oh well, does anyone know if Warner would still accept the outer paper cover for the Matrix set, as was originally required, instead of the cover for the third film? I'd rather send that if I have a choice.

I'd like to know that as well.

I got an email reply that said they now require you to send the cover of Revolutions. Disappointing since I also still have that paper slip.

I'm going to cry foul on this point. Really isn't fair of them to change the name of the game in the middle. They posted that the outer paper slip was what was required.

In my opinion, they can now change the requirements but I would bet they would have a very hard time telling someone that they weren't going to accept the outer paper slip as they had initially required.

I'm sending the outer paper slip as they initially required. I'm betting that they will accept either or in this case, it was their mistake.

Luck all.

Crap. Between that and the $5 increase, I'm really kicking myself for not getting this done sooner. I guess I better hurry up before something else happens.

I do agree. The paper slip with the UPC should still be considered proof of purchase. I'd be tempted to try too, but I'm sending for other discs as well, and I'd be worried about Warner rejecting Matrix and accepting the others. Which means I'd have to resubmit with the Matrix Revolutions cover and end up paying the $6.95 shipping twice.

Eh, the reason I sent my in so quick was the fact the initial offer specifically stated that the terms may be changed at any time. The fact that they did and the new terms are less ideal to you individually sounds like a personal problem. If WB does reject the artwork, you can't really blame anyone but yourself by knowingly sending in the wrong material.

I know it sucks to have something change for the worse, but I can't exactly sympathize with someone who waited and now doesn't like the deal as much. Good luck with getting your stuff, but I fear you'll have headaches over the whole process.

Well, I think stating that the deal can be changed at any time and/or canceled is just standard operating procedure, language forced into any deal like this by the lawyers/bean counters. Given that, it still isn't the smartest thing to do as it does cause confusion, resentment and even headaches for them as well, answering emails and dealing with different submissions etc...

But, I will certainly sleep a bit easier tonight knowing exactly how you feel about it, thanks for that.

Re: Warner launches "Red2Blu" trade-in program

As long as they still honor the orders placed before the Matrix mail in change, then I'll be happy. I know there was some overlap after the first couple days where they told people over the phone the updated requirement before it became official a couple more days later on the website.

Wow, glad I didn't wait. I already had Planet Earth on BD so that one wasn't an issue, but I really wanted to swap these for BD.
