MPEG-2? That can't be right. Who has the rights to this movie?

Might just be a template Blu-ray.com uses. Paramount has not used MPEG2 is a long ass time.

I hope there are some extras. However, the dvd is bare-bones. And since there's no new DVD SE announced, I'm sure this will be featureless as well. Golden opportunity to add something to this is likely wasted.

One of the 70's best, but I'll rent first. Most of the movies from that decade on BD haven't been worth an upgrade from SD.

This is one of the best films of that era and alas, it's bare bones.

Man, what a wasted opportunity. At the least it could have had a commentary with Paul Greengrass waxing on how he was influenced by it.

Dammit. Would have been nice to have given this movie its due attention when Sydney Pollack was alive. I'm sure the HD trailer is as far as it'll get for special features.

There's a Pollack commentary on the German R2 that I thought would make it across...

Of course... I JUST bought the SD for $6 2 weeks ago. Never seen it though. If this gets good reviews, and I dig the flick, I'm sure I'll upgrade.

Now, Paramount, get to work on The Parallax View!

I think this title is OOP and it's been unavailable on Amazon for some time now. However, you can now order it for $8.99. It's out of stock, but at least you have a chance to pick it up.
