Amen. Aliens is a decent enough film (and the third best in the series), but Alien is nearly perfect. I feel the same way about the first two Terminator films.

Any rumors as to what month this will be released? The Quadrilogy DVD Box set is one of my all time favorite dvd sets and hoping we get all the Quadrilogy set features,the Legacy mail in bonus disc and Alien isolated score and commentary from the 1st release on top of all these new features. Which by the way I'm hoping for a Bonus View on all 4 of them :) I say Aliens>Alien>Alien Resurrection>Alien3. Love these series and also hoping for the cut Alien 3 documentary footage mentioned elsewhere in this thread. Looks like if this Blu-Ray set delivers all old and new features that it will be my top Blu-Ray(and DVD too) set of all time! Funny because while I love the series the films are nowhere near my favorites of all time,except maybe for Aliens.

I find it difficult to believe this new set will top the Quad release in terms of extras, but if it does...one of my criteria for prioritizing upgrades of DVD to BD is significant new extras, so I may go for this.

Not a big fan of the fourth film, but I am somewhat obsessed with the others. If I buy the BD set, it would make a QUINTUPLE dip for me (fullscreen VHS, widescreen VHS, Legacy DVDs, Quadrilogy, BD).

I will happily purchase this set on release day but I know my wallet is seriously going to hurt when I do. This will most likely be $99 when released.

I'm aware of that - but if they're going to release a trailer for the blu-ray set, at least say anything in terms of what we're going to get. Maybe even just say "Now in 1080P with 7.1 DTS-MA."

Okay, I highly doubt it'll be 7.1.

Dunno what you're talking about but all this recession stuff and etc has never affected me. I'm a college kid who pays for everything out of his own pocket (unfortunately...I'd love some more financial help but that's ok).

I never bought into the Quadrology or whatever it was called. I think Fox does a nice job of milking the fans on these releases.

The set was totally worth it for the features. I'd say the features are of greater value than the films. I love the Alien and Aliens, appreciate Alien3 for the sake of curiosity, and not that big of a fan for Resurrection but I like the look of the set design.
