Woot. I'll wait till it ships, but I was already getting $10 off using a coupon I got at the end of Summer. I just had a book shipped this week that I got an email that they were crediting me back $1.75 because the price dropped. I'd never have noticed it, the price on the book dropped $5 from when I first ordered it.

in theory it should work like you said unfortunately there are still plenty of csr people from amazon who respnd to the message you send who read it as you asking them to price match another site, most of the time amazon reps are pretty good with correcting the issue right away but there have been times recently (just last week actually) where they try to shoot me down saying they dont price match, to which i respond back iam asking for you to honor your pre order price guarentee, iam not asking you to match someone elses price. it amazes me how many amazon reps dont actually know their policies or bother actually read or listen to what you are calling about.

Nope i just went ahead and placed another order, and canceled my earlier one. After the headache i had trying to get my price lowerd to 94.99 last week sitting on the live chat argueing for 20 mins with a person who had no clue how price gaurentee worked. trying to say that my price couldnt be lowed cause i orderd it all the way back in july.

For Canadians reading this thread, the ALIEN set will be $79.99 at Best Buy next week. It's $99.99 at Future Shop, but apparently the purchase of PREDATORS includes a $20 coupon towards the ALIEN set. Walmart Canada will be selling the set for $99.99.

For what it's worth, I cancelled my pre-order for Alien and it showed up in my Gold Box for $85.49 the next day. Same thing with BTTF ($45.59). You guys may want to give that a shot.

I'm sure I'll get denied because FS sucks, but I'll try to PM the best buy price and then apply the Predators coupon - It would be a great score to get the set for $59.99.

I tried different ways this week to get the Alien set to show up in my gold box reflecting the new lower price, but it didn't work. I was going to hold out until around $80, but decided to go ahead and buy today for $90. I'll just try and pretend I didn't pay any money towards the awful Alien Resurrection.

I likewise cancelled and re-placed my amazon order since my price never adjusted downward from $97.99 a while back. Now have it for $89.99. Yes, I am sure it will be cheaper before too long, but I have GCs paying for this so at $0.00 out of pocket, I say...bring on 10/26!!!

The Godfather set is frequently on sale for $44.99, from a MSRP of $124.99, and the Ultimate Matrix has been on sale for less than $50 from an MSRP of $129.99.

I doubt you'll have any takers on that, but yes it is a FOX title and I would think within a year, it will be sub-50. Fox seems to not have problems with deep discounting their catalog at times unlike say, Paramount.
