The new edition of X3 that I saw did not have a slipcover, so I'm guessing the rest don't either. Do they make 2-disc eco-friendly cases?

I'm pretty sure there are no slipcovers (but not 100% sure)....however, I am positive they are NOT in the eco-cases, as right now they are only out there for single disc releases, and all three X-men titles are two discers....

I'm not in any hurry to get these so I figure to wait. I'm sure it'll be cheaper anyway.

According to the review at HDD, the new edition of X3 only has ten deleted scenes and three alternate endings. If that's the case, it means the set is missing several deleted scenes that were available on some copies of the DVD.

It's possible he just cut/pasted from his previous review in 2006. A quick look at both shows this is exactly what happened - so he may have no checked to see if there were more scenes or he did and there were no additional ones added. Surprised no other review has popped up since most reviewers got this Thurs/Friday.

DVD Beaver put up a review last week as well:

http://www.dvdbeaver.com/film/DVDRev...last_stand.htm

It does not have an extensive breakdown of the number of deleted scenes though....

really need confirmation quick about what is in the trilogy set so I can cancel my Amazon order before it readys to ship

I'm trying to order the X-Men and X2 on the 2 for $35 deal but my cart shows them both as $29.99. It says 2 for $35 next to them in the cart but they aren't priced that way. I selected in-store pick-up and it shows available even though online says it's pre-order. I added two other titles and they show up fine as $17.50 each.

Nevermind, called their support dept. and had them place the order for me. Hopefully they will let me pick them up today...if not a one day wait isn't too bad. I already had X3 so picking up the first two for $35 with two tickets to the movie is a no brainer.

I got mine at one of the Raleigh stores yesterday. I would say Cary has them out early as well.

Hmm, decisions decisions... buy them individually or just buy the box set with the $10 off coupon. Has there been any confirmation yet on whether the trilogy box includes any movie cash?

Fry's will have the first two movies on Blu-ray for $16.99 each tomorrow. No mention of Last Stand though.

Saw the UK version of the boxset in HMV. It was £34.99.
It is region coded A,B and C. It was in a very think BD case with a clear slipcase. It also came with an exclusive "Wolverine" HD clip.

Nice, as I'm only interested in X-2 on blu.

Someone in the DVD Bargains forum posted in the "Best Buy 2 for $35 etc." thread that they received the Trilogy box set in the mail from Wherehouse and it DID have a sticker for the movie cash on it....oh boy, things are getting even more complicated....
I'm guessing only SOME of the trilogy sets will have movie cash on them, or maybe some other stores may get copies with movie cash, but at Best Buy they will not have them on the trilogy box....who knows exactly, I guess we'll see tomorrow!

Thanks! If the trilogy does include the movie cash then I think i'm fine going that route. If not, it seems like it's better to just go with the individuals... at least for those interested in watching Wolverine.

to not include the movie cash on the Best Buy Trilogy Box set is plain out dumb.

according to this review:
http://www.avforums.com/movies/index...diareview=9683

there is bonus view pip/ime

Extras
Extras - X1
Bonus View.
A good feature with Stan Lee on the Marvel/Fox collaboration and Singer on why mutants tend to show their powers in their teenage years. The majority of the cast have their own thoughts on the themes and their own characters, popping up as and when needed.

Bonus View.
A good bonus view feature with the usual faces popping up in that small lower right window offering further information on this sequel. The cast members appear discussing their roles, Lauren Donner has a lot to say and is essentially a repetition of her later commentary. Guy Dyas has input on the locations and how he dressed the sets to give the feel he wanted.

Extras – X3
Bonus View.
This is the usual Bonus view fodder with a number of different people popping up in a small window in the lower right, giving their opinion on either the series as a whole or the specific scenes in question. The original comic writers are there as are the writers of the screenplay, the director and producers. A better watch and listen than the commentary with some interesting snippets and much more laughs. What we do see here though we can see later in the individual extras package.

But I don't see any other reviews mention and it's not in the detail.
is that pal exclusive or something?

Re: X-Men Trilogy (9 Disc Set) --------> April, 21st 2009

well it looks like someone else oversees (another board) received a copy of the (US) trilogy set and set it did have $10 in movie cash

this sucks that some do and some don't as I already cancelled my $48 Amazon preorder for the Trilogy and pre-ordered 1 & 2 from BB for $35

I guess the only way to confirm that yours has movie cash is to actually see the product in store.... now I need to go find a damn PJs coupon in case I decide to pick up the Trilogy tomorrow (if it has $10 in movie cash) instead of just movies 1 and 2.

or

Trilogy set approx $48 after coupon with tax if it includes 1 $10 voucher for movie cash add additional $10 to take spouse to movie = $58
vs
X1 and X2 for approx $38 with tax (includes $20 in movie cash) and pick up X3 for under $20 at a later date

pretty much a wash given I don't care for the digital copies and the box/packaging is of little consequence

^ I wonder if the Trilogy sets that have the Movie Cash have the same UPC code as the Trilogy sets that don't have the Movie Cash ...

I pre-ordered mine at Best Buy (Canada) and in the item description online it does make mention of Movie Cash being included (of course, that may not be entirely accurate).

I see nothing in US reviews or the original press release indicating any inclusion of bonus view features

Best Buy is the only flyer I've seen that even mentions the Wolverine ticket, so I think you're alright - going to grab mine there tomorrow.

Remember, the AMC Theaters chain does not accept Movie Cash, so if they're your local theater...

the whole movie cash no movie cash issue has no bearing on me since i havent had to pay for movie tickets in almost 20 years.
