My BB had a few trilogy sets with, from what I saw, the sticker.

On the UK set the bonus Wolverine scene is an easter egg. On the US set you get it when you order the tickets through the disc.

Kinda odd.

While it's sort of dishonest, even if you opened your set, you can buy a new one with the sticker on it, take the sticker off (which leaves the packaging intact if you do it right) and then just return that still sealed version you just bought - problem solved

At that point, I'd rather spend the $5 to see the movie.

Yes, this is exactly why BD-Live is a joke.

Picked this up today in Durham, N.C. Both of our Best Buys had the sets without tickets earlier this week. Today, one location had a bunch with the stickers. Paid 44.99 after the Papa John's coupon. And since the theatre is $10 I think it's a pretty good deal.

Yes, the new X3 release has all 21 deleted scenes and 3 alternate endings that the "misprinted" DVDs had....I personally checked this tonight, as I have one of those original X3 DVDs with the "extra" deleted scenes, and the new Blu-ray has all of them accounted for.....

Watched the first two movies last night and this morning. I'm happy with the picture quality.

Couldn't you just take the sticker off and then leave the store?

I'm so jealous. I've recently become unemployed and have no money to get this, nor go see the new Wolverine movie.

It's attached to the very thin wrap. (the wrap rips very easy)

Possible yes, Advisable no. Odds are probably just a bit better than walking out with entire thing.

Speaking of extras, did X1/X2 drop some extras from the previous releases?

I'm seem to recall a screen test extra with Jackman/Paquin that looks to be absent from X1.

You could but the loud noise that the sticker makes when being ripped off might draw some attention from the store workers

Watched X-Men last night and thought it looked decent - the movie wasn't as good as I remembered, with a few more cringe worthy moments and some fairly cartoonish sound effects that I didn't recall... Gonna watch X2 tonight (my favourite), so hopefully it still holds up.

Not sure, unless it was an easter egg. I have the X-Men 1.5 DVD and don't recall seeing it...

Re: X-Men Trilogy (9 Disc Set) --------> April, 21st 2009

I'd just rip the plastic off with sticker and pocket it while no one was looking. Nah, I'll just pay to see it since matinee is only $4.50 where I live.

I agree, talking about how to steal movie cash probably isn't the best thing to do here.

If you purchased the trilogy, and it did not come with the movie cash, its not stealing. Its taking what's rightfully yours.

For those Canadians out there who bought your X-Men Trilogy set from Future Shop, I hope you went and got your price adjusted yesterday during their 15% off Blu-ray sale yesterday. I probably should have posted this as a heads up yesterday but never got around to it.

Only $42.49 plus tax for the set! That's cheaper than getting it at Best Buy US with the Papa John's coupon, I think ... but of course we get hit with 13% tax (in Ontario, at least)

Yeah, I don't think exchanging a set without movie cash or asking customer service is a big deal, but talking about going into a store and ripping off the stickers or taking the sticker and then returning a copy is another thing.

FSCPXKP67TKKJN

That is the code that came with my set. First come, first serve. I purchase all of my stuff from the U.S. (having no interest in the bilingual packaging or prices Canada has to offer) and the promo code that came with my set is U.S. only, so it is here for someone who can use it.

Enjoy!
