Yeah, that gift set just makes me think they had some left over stock from the DVD gift set a few years back and decided to repackage it as a BD gift set.
I just want the movie. I'm not that interested in gift sets these days.

My big concern is subtitles. In the original DVD release, the subtitles were placed in the black bars at the bottom (instead of within the picture) - thus not very CIH friendly.
I look forward to the early reviews as I would like to see the extended version.

If it's a Paramount or Fox release, the subtitles shoould by within the image. If it's a Sony release, the subtitles will most likely be within the black bars.
Sadly, I don't remember what studio rleased this movie (and I rented the DVD fairly recently). It's Sony, isn't it?

Ah, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. So, yeah, the subtitles will probably be within the lower letterbox bar.
I don't have a CIH setup but for some reason I dislike that method. It just doesn't look "right" to me. I much prefer the subtitles within the image. And with the option to turn them off if they are player generated and I understand the language being subtitles. Some discs (likeIron Man) let you remove them.
I do recall a long while back reading of one disc that let you select the location and size of the subtitles. I wish such options would be standard if the subtitles are player generated.

Just read the review at HDD.
Very disappointing to find out that this only includes the Extended version. 50gb of space and they couldn't add the theatrical via seamless branching?
