Cinema Paradiso
Breaking Away
Star Wars - A New Hope
Wizard Of Oz
I'm more interested in seeing catalog titles in full Blu glory than new titles.

Back to the Future... I sure hope that does come out this year on Blu-ray. I love those films.
I agree that The Abyss is long overdue for a Blu-ray release.

Re: What are your most anticipated Blu-ray releases?
there was a screening somewhere in Los Angeles of Part 1&2 and both where shown in a new high definition transfer.... Bob Gale was at the screening but wouldn't directly say it was for a Blu-ray release... and with the new single movie releases coming perhaps we may see a Blu-ray release this summer ...

Re: What are your most anticipated Blu-ray releases?
Just saw a couple movies last night that I would love to upgrade to Blu-ray; Last Of The Mohicans and U.S. Marshalls. They'll probably make it into my signature when there is room. Both are re-watchable movies on early discs with so-so quality. Especially Mohicans with the battle scenes would be pretty amazing in lossless.
Marshalls was one of the first discs I purchased after getting my player in 98. Many of my most wanteds for BD's are not neccessarily my favorite movies but movies I like to own and have never gotten a decent release or I haven't upgraded so by now I might as well wait for the Blu. Add these 2 to the list.

With The Red Shoes getting a major restoration (with the participation of Janus) and R2 Blu-ray release next month, a Criterion edition is inevitable. I'm hoping for a fall release.

Re: What are your most anticipated Blu-ray releases?
Of announced titles, I am most looking forward to the Battlestar Galactica complete series set...it might have been LOTR if it was the extended editions, but oh well, I'll be waiting a couple more years for those instead....
Of unannounced titles, I'm going to go with the original Star Wars trilogy....the prequel trilogy would be second most...hell, how about just throwing together a whole "Saga" boxset and please the masses there Lucas, huh?

The Star Wars Trilogy- Please Mr. Lucas release the Original Versions, all remastered. Probably not.....
Raiders of the Lost Ark- The original is the only one I care about, but if I have to buy the boxset thats ok with me.
Jaws- Come on Spielberg, where are your movies?
Back to the Future - I am suprised they put out another Special Edition on Standard DVD this year, but no blu-ray release?
Heat - Such an underrated movie
Witness - another underrated movie
Slap Shot, Caddyshack, Stripes, Plains Trains and Automobiles, Vacation, 48 Hours, Fast Times at Ridgemont High - Comedies I can watch over and over.

Saving Private Ryan cannot get here soon enough for me. It's the reason I bought a blu ray player. Now quit being a tightie widget Speilberg! Release some of your damn films already!

(Drool) That release would be so sweet.
I'd also love to see the following one day on BD:
"Heaven"
"The Devil's Backbone"
"The Ice Storm"
"Last of the Mohicans"
"A Simple Plan"
"Hedwig and the Angry Inch"
"The Grifters"
"Death Becomes Her"
"The Natural"
"The Red Violin"
"The Rapture"
"Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown" (can you imagine those colors in BD!?)
