Re: Foreign Cinema in BLU (part 2)

Blu-ray.com review of Don't Look Now - a real pity about the machine noise, as this would have been the definitive version otherwise.

Yup, you can't go wrong when you've got Kim Newman's participation.

Re: Foreign Cinema in BLU (part 2)

Two new English friendly editions of Kim Ji-Woon's (The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, I am the Devil, Tales of Two Sisters) fine action revenge film, Bittersweet Life. I wish Magnet were picking this film up seeing what they did with I am the Devil.

Bittersweet Life (First Pressing Limited Edition)

Bittersweet Life (Normal Edition)

These blu-ray releases are listed as region A, does anyone know Content Zone's track record? I'm curious if there is a chance these will be region-free. Thanks.

Re: Foreign Cinema in BLU (part 2)

Not sure if this has been mentioned before (sorry if it has), but [REC] and [REC]2 are available from amazon.ca for $30.

I had no idea this existed and actually ordered the UK discs last week. The Canadian discs are a good alternative for those who don't want to mess around with Region B.

Re: Foreign Cinema in BLU (part 2)

Electra Glide in Blue is B, according to DVDAf. I'm considering upgrading, depending on screencaps and price. It's got one of my favorite endings ever. Here's a list of all of the Shock Blu-rays released so far.
