I'm just as bad(I have no doubt that I'll eventually own multiple BR players). I currently have 2 XA1 players running(one for movies, the other as a CD player in my 2 channel system). I only paid $90 each at FYE for those two beasts. I have an A2, A3 and D3 boxed up.

Doughboy 12-15-08 09:10 PM

2 PS3s(20 GB)

But I'm selling the spare PS3 to my buddy.

bluetoast 12-15-08 09:11 PM

2 PS3s (both 80 GB, one of which is the discontinued one).

Gizmo 12-15-08 09:11 PM

My XA1 is hooked up because in case of a burglary I can use it as either a shield or as a weapon - if I can manage to lift it up of course.

E Unit 12-15-08 09:14 PM

I have a PS3 and a Memorex MVBD2510

StephenX 12-15-08 09:17 PM

Seeing all of these people who have went through two or three players, I have one question: Why on earth have you not tried the PS3? I could understand if there were some drawbacks, but the only reason I've ever heard is that "I don't want a gaming machine as my primary player."

But, when that machine is the BEST, future proof player available, and has been since day one, why not?

Oh, and I only have one...the PS3.

Goldberg74 12-15-08 09:24 PM

I've had a Magnavox NB500MG9 since June. I like it.

When I get my debts down, I'll invest in a better one.

Darknite39 12-15-08 09:45 PM

I bought an LG HD/BD drive on Black Friday for 95 bucks. Now I have a backup HD player and I can play my $8 Die Hard BD (and, presumably, Dark Knight if I get that for Christmas). :D

Quake1028 12-15-08 10:09 PM

PS3. That's it, for now.

Mikael79 12-15-08 10:16 PM

Just one (Sony 350) and I'm still waiting for Blu-ray disc prices to drop, so I only have about 10 titles right now.

Moopher 12-15-08 10:59 PM

Just my PS3 for now but I will be buying another right after Xmas.

marcellusk 12-15-08 11:29 PM

From a performance perspective, the PS3 is a great piece of technology, hands down. I have one and I'm not a gamer at all, I'm an HT guy. IMHO, the PS3 just doesn't look "right" in a serious home theater setup. It looks like a little black spaceship, not a serious A/V component.

The other thing that kills me about it, is that I spent a small fortune on a high-end HDMI-capable AVR, and I'll be damned if I'm going to look at it show "Multi Ch In" for the rest of its days, instead of the sublime beauty of "Dolby TrueHD", or "DTS-HD MSTR". :D

matome 12-16-08 08:23 AM

Four for the various TV's and HT's in my house

Samsung BDP1000
Panasonic BD10
Sony PS3
Sony S550

Brian Shannon 12-16-08 08:24 AM

None.

I am waiting for either the OPPO player or a better price on the Sony 550 or Panasonic 55

I do own 5 discs.

kms_md 12-16-08 08:33 AM

PS3 and samsung BD-P1500

Vipper II 12-16-08 08:34 AM

Panasonic BD30
Sony S300 (sitting in my closet - it was too damn slow for me - worse than the HD-A1)
Samsung BDP1000 (also in my closet, but doesn't work very well)

SoSpacey 12-16-08 10:24 AM

1- PS3 60gb

Since I just won $1000 in fantasy football and I have a $500 best buy gift card lying around I may hook up the bedroom with a mini system for movies and games. Problem is I have a capable receiver (no HDMI) with analog inputs I could use if I wanted to. But getting a PS3 AND an analog capable Blu-ray player would be overkill.

I really need to finish my theater room in the basement.
