Black Christmas Audio Problem

I got my BD of Black Christmas (1974) a few weeks back and the audio is not synched up with the movie correctly. Has anyone else had this problem or is it just mine?

Also I got it through Best Buy.com what are my options?

What player do you have? Are you internally decoding it or bitstreaming it?

I came across this when I reviewed it last month:

The nastiest hiccup is that the audio falls out of sync several times. The longest stretch starts when Mrs. Mac is ranting to the mirror about that damned cat, and it's a fraction of a second off for several scenes straight. Toggling back and forth between the 5.1 track and the original mono, only the remix seems to be out of sync here. However, when Jess fusses to Peter about wanting to have "a rational, adult conversation", the lines don't even come close to matching the lip movements in both tracks. I can only assume that's from some really lousy ADR work.

Dan Duffin, the Black Christmas "uberfan" who worked on this release says that the 5.1 track is not good. It was based on an unfinished sound mix and is missing elements. His recommendation is the mono track. I listed to this and noticed no problems.

So the mono track is okay, but the 5.1 is not? That really sucks, but at least that means I don't have to get rid of it, I'll have to check it out.
