Fox Home Entertainment has revealed the technical specs and special features for the upcoming Blu-ray release of 'The Boondock Saints', which is due to hit store shelves on January 13th. Though the film was widely panned by critics, it has developed a strong cult following and a sequel is currently in production. Video will be presented in 1080p AVC accompanied by a 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio soundtrack.

Director's Cut seamlessly branched

How do these extras compare to the previous DVD?

Nothing new compared to the two-disc dvd.

Which is the one of the reasons I'm sticking with my steelbook. The other being the fact that all the action scenes are muffled by rock soundtrack.(which is quite good don't get me wrong)

That cover art is awful.

It's nowhere near as good as the steelbook cover, but I'm strangely comfortable with it.

Wow, ewwy artwork.

If you're a fan of this film and have never seen the documentary "Overnight" (who am I kidding, you probably have).. I'd definitely recommend it. Troy Duffy is such a douche.

I always thought a broken toilet and the surroundings in the movie would be pretty cool artwork for a cover...

I actually like the artwork.

Will this be unrated?

The directors cut is the the unrated version.

I never got around to picking up the re-release DVD so I'll gladly get this to replace my old non-anamorphic copy.

Anyone picking this up today? I was thinking of getting it this afternoon, myself.
