BD350 v. A2 for Upconverting

True to my word on this forum, I actually bought a Blu Ray player - the BD350 on that Sonystyle deal yesterday for about $150. Know I am debating on whether I should keep it. How is it upconverting versus the A2? I really like the upconversion on the A2 and frankly probably won't be buying a ton of Blu Rays, so my catalog will probably remain mostly DVDs. Anybody have experience with the A2 and the BD350?

Thanks

Chanster, I know we have had disagreements often, but let me be the first to say congratulations on joining the BD team.

As far as upconverting, I used to have the A3, so I didn't directly compare that to my Sony 550. However, I have been very pleased with the upconverting in that unit. I still have my A1 and I can't tell any difference between the two.

Congrats on your BD player purchase. I got in on the same deal you did as well at Sonystyle.
Regarding your question, I checked the Cnet review for it and they said it was very close to the Oppo for upconverting so that's a good barometer.

Well I have some bad news. Somebody at Sony or Fed ex is committing fraud and had my package re-routed to a UPS store, where somebody picked it up. I'm bummed. Sony CSR was horrible it took 40 minutes to reach someone who couldn't help me at all, so I just disputed it with my credit card.

Wow that's insane, I've never even imagined something like that. Sorry for your woes, hope it works out.
