Is there a master list of BDs with digital copies?

I know digital copies aren't the most popular things around here, but they're great for my iPod on business trips. I'll pay a few extra bucks and might even sway my purchase decision if I know one is included.

Are there any references that keep an updated master list of released and upcoming BDs that have digital copies?

Just a question from someone who doesn't come here much anymore...

What is the point of having an entire disc devoted to the digital copy if the actual digital copy isn't even on the disc and only prompts a pop up window so you can download the actual digital copy?

It seems to me that this could easily fit onto even a single disc.

Slap me if this has been asked 1,000,000X before.

I purchased Traitor this morning, which includes a digital copy. However, there was no insert containing a code. I inserted the disc in my laptop and it said the "unlock code couldn't be read automatically from the disc". Then it had a link to request a new "unlock code". So I guess that's how Anchor Bay handles their digial copies?

I'm not requesting a new code yet since I'll be upgrading my laptop sometime next year.

Can any other Traitor BD owners confirm the above, that there is no insert?

The files are (usually) on the disc in encrypted format, go into Windows Explorer and see for yourself. The download is actually coming from the disc. The code just unlocks it.

So does that mean you can download it again if you delete the first download?

No, once you use the code you can't reuse it.
Before you delete it, you would have to back it up to some other removable media.
The files can normally be found in: My Music\iTunes\iTunes Music\Movies

I know that Fox's Digital Copies allow downloading on up to 5 devices. I'm sure the other studios have similar guidelines.

Re: Is there a master list of BDs with digital copies?

are there still digital copies that 'expire' within a certain time frame? i have a habit of buying used discs and in most cases, the sellers have not downloaded the digital copies yet. so it would be kind of a waste if the digital copies can't be downloaded anymore due to some silly expiry date...
